Extreme Enviroments
NAS Corporation has a long and proven history of operating in some of the world’s most challenging environments. Our Directors first began working in Antarctica in 1997 and have continuously supported aviation operations on the continent ever since — providing expertise to both private initiatives and multiple national Antarctic programmes.
With operational experience spanning over 20 Antarctic seasons, NAS has coordinated and managed intercontinental flights from South Africa and Chile into Antarctica using a variety of aircraft types. This includes both fixed-wing and rotary-wing platforms, as well as the successful management of helicopter operations completing a full circumnavigation of the continent.
Our team’s experience extends far beyond the polar regions. Having operated in temperatures ranging from +50°C to -40°C, NAS understands the technical, logistical, and safety considerations required for reliable performance in extreme climates.
Through meticulous planning, proven field experience, and an in-depth understanding of aircraft capability in harsh conditions, NAS provides clients with dependable solutions for aviation operations anywhere on Earth.
